mount-umount iPhones / iPod Touches
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/hardy/+source/ipod-convenience/0.3-0ubuntu1
I started to work on this after useing this manual here:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/PortableDevices/iPhone
There are two methods for mounting an iPhone:
- ipod-convenience
- fuse/sshfs method
The first (the 'automatic') one would be this ipod-convenience package witch contains the commands iphone-mount and iphone-umount. They seem to be simple scripts to me. They are just not working with my suse. They where made for an Ubuntu!
The secon one is a manual method and for example the player amarok keeps hanging with it. The iphone-mount script pings the iPhone before trying to connect to it.
