Download link for openSUSE/tumbleweed always fails. Same happens when I tried some days ago to download the version before. Same problem when trying to get the actual kernel from https://software.opensuse.org/search. This kernel version is actually not part of the tumbleweed-repo until the next (or following) snapshot. https://software.opensuse.org//download.html?project=openSUSE%3AFactory&package=kernel-default is always redirected to https://download.opensuse.org/tumbleweed/repo/oss/x86_64/kernel-default-4.16.4-1.5.x86_64.rpm Could it become fixed? Or who could fix it instead? Thanks

What link?

wpelser wrote 11 months ago

I am on https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/openSUSE:Factory/kernel-default. On this site there is a line with "Download package". This opens a new site https://software.opensuse.org//download.html?project=openSUSE%3AFactory&package=kernel-default. If I try to download a (binary) package from there, it fails. "Objekt nicht mehr verf├╝gbar!" in german.

Actually in the meantime from my last reply https://download.opensuse.org/tumbleweed/repo/oss/x86_64/kernel-default-4.16.4-1.5.x86_64.rpm is working, because this kernel is now part of the tumbleweed repo. But if 4.16.5 is tested on this site, it could not be downloaded until it is in the tumbleweed repo and may be for days or weeks. See above!

Correct. Could you report it to bugzilla.suse.com -> openSUSE -> openSUSE.org -> Download infrastructure?

Done: Bug 1091676 - newest factory + tumbleweed version of kernel-default: download fails often
