Hmm, looks like the new rpm doesn't like vdr(abi) expressions anymore :-( But why this only affects Obsoletes, but not Provides - escapes me...

Hi, I think there is an error in system-user-vdr.conf. Installing the latest version under Tumbleweed gives:

Subprocess failed. Error: RPM fehlgeschlagen: Kommando mit Status 1 beendet. Verlauf: - /usr/bin/systemd-sysusers --replace=/usr/lib/sysusers.d/system-user-vdr.conf - -:1: Failed to parse UID: 'video': Invalid argument

The reason: In the conf file the ID field is set to 'video'. This is wrong because this field in 'u' context is for numeric UID or can be set to '-', not to set a group. You must specify the Group in a second line 'm'

Wrong:

#Type Name ID GECOS Home directory Shell

u vdr video "Video Disk Recorder" /var/spool/video /bin/false

Fixed:

#Type Name ID GECOS Home directory Shell

u vdr -:video "Video Disk Recorder" /var/spool/video /bin/false

fixed now. BTW: I'm going to delete all old comments, as they just clutter the interface and are no longer useful

Okay, thanks for the quick fix! Did you read my last proposal (few hours ago)? Fixed it in my initial posting above, too.

Yes, but after already reverting the package to use useradd ;-) It seems to work (just tested manually on my factory system, will keep that in mind for the next update. (And I will do more tests, to ensure it at least installs on factory... ;)
