File README.SUSE of Package MozillaFirefox.10730
Firefox recently introduced mandatory extension signing - all extensions must
be signed by addons.mozilla.com (AMO) which is supposed to prevent accidental
installation of malicious add-ons. In case installation of an extension that is
not signed by AMO is desirable, the signature checks can be disabled by setting
the preference 'xpinstall.signatures.required' to 'false'.
This can be either done per profile (e.g. by setting the preference in
about:config) or for all profiles by amending the system-wide configuration
located in /usr/lib64/firefox/browser/defaults/preferences and
/usr/lib64/firefox/defaults/pref. Adding a new file is prefered over modifying
existing ones to prevent configuration reset on updates.
