<project name="home:qc-zackf"> <title>Q3D Engine *code-named*</title> <description>A cross-platform interactive 3D media tool-kit and engine. The engine uses OpenGL rendering and is completely shader driven. Using VBOs, IDOs and FBOs for true hardware accelerated next generation graphics. Gui is event driven and shader based for limitless flexibility and speed. Scripting is done through Lua and soon Python and JavaScript. Scenes are self managed with 'add, set and forget' style of management. The engine also will soon support several native and known file formats for project content, such as, COLLADA, .x, .apng, .png, .bmp, .jpg, .obj, .my3d, .3ds, .stl, .ogg, .avi, .mp3, .wav, .lwo, .b3d and many more. Physics has not yet been developed, but full support for vehicles, rigid-bodies, rag-dolls, fluids, joints, soft-bodies and all the other goodies will be integrated into the engine. With a component based hierarchy system for scene objects along with scripting will provide a flexible way to define object behavior.
