The Ceph distributed storage system

Ceph is a distributed object store and file system designed to provide excellent performance, reliability and scalability. For more information see http://ceph.com/

For ceph on openSUSE, you should need only add this repo to install ceph and ceph-deploy. All necessary dependencies should be present in the base distro.

For SLE 12 builds, you'll also need devel:languages:python. Note that FastCGI, gperftools, leveldb and libatomic_ops are built in filesystems:ceph for SLE 12, as they're not in the base distro. These are just linked back to devel:libraries:c_c++ and may disappear in future, in which case SLE 12 will also require you add the devel:libraries:c_c++ repo. SLE 12 builds here are "best effort" and are not supported by SUSE.

For the Calamari management GUI, see systemsmanagement:calamari.
