On the check host it runs without _service, so you can reproduce this issue after removing that file.
FWICT this is an actual error - the files mentioned as sources do indeed not exist with that name, but instead inside the node_modules folder. Instead of the hundres of Source1XXX just do Source13: node_modules.obscpio.
This used to work in the past, which would be few weeks ago. Everything cockpit uses similar layout. I guess OBS now expands things in folder for cpio instead of the sources directory?

I'm not entirely sure how .obscpio should be handled by the source_validator.

I'm wrong about this, there is no node_modules folder (although there should be)
So source_validator is missing support to look into obscpio or to extract it like OBS would before it looks?
