I would suggest not to take any opinion from Drew DeVault as legitimate, until you have heard at least from another party.
He is infamous for inflammatory takes.
This aside, I would be very wary in any case to delete Free Software from our repositories because of incidents which took place in a Discord group that has little to no relevance to said software's quality.
The "hyprland" project is free to do whatever it wants, it has nothing to do with the openSUSE project. As long as the hyprland software isn't in and of itself toxic, transphobic or homophobic (i.e. printing stuff like YWNBAW or similar to stdout when it detects a trans user) it really doesn't matter what the developers think. And since the software is licensed under a free software license, their ability to assert their own opinions into the software is rather limited anyways.
Instead you are obv. free to decide to stop using hyprland if you feel hurt by the devs, but it isn't a reason to drop hyprland from openSUSE entirely because a large chunk of users have never interacted with the "hyprland community" and depriving them from using their preferred compositor feels a lot more unfair to me.
