I get [ 29s] dotconf.spec: W: no-%check-section [ 29s] The spec file does not contain an %check section. Please check if the package [ 29s] has a testsuite and what it takes to enable the testsuite as part of the [ 29s] package build. If it is not possible to run it in the build environment 29s or no testsuite exists, then please ignore this warning. You should [ 29s] not insert an empty %check section.

This warning is new to me, so just asking why you haven't kept empty %check section?

the RPMLINT message was a bit misleading ; if we are not able to run the testsuite at build time, there's no point in adding an empty %check section. Message has been clarified as well, please see https://github.com/rpm-software-management/rpmlint/pull/1222
