Request 149754 (revoked)

New package rss2email. I haven't created too many packages on OBS, so please have a look if everything is OK. Happy to change things if needed.

Submit package home:apersaud / rss2email to package server:mail / rss2email

The diff call for /source/home:apersaud/rss2email?cmd=diff&expand=1&filelimit=10000&opackage=rss2email&oproject=server%3Amail&rev=1&view=xml&withissues=1 failed: package 'rss2email' does not exist

There's nothing to be done right now

1)
Either install the documentation during %install - or rely on RPM and just use the %doc macro. At the moment, you do the work twice.

I like to suggest just staying with the
%doc AUTHORS CHANGELOG README COPYING
line in the %files section and remove all the "install -Dm644 ..." lines from %install.

2)
gzip'ing the manpage is not needed - this is done by some brp scripts automatically. If the default value for manpages changes from gz to bz2 or xz some time in the future, you need to adapt your spec file. Just let the scripts do their magic and just do something like:
install -Dm644 r2e.1 %{buildroot}/%{_mandir}/man1/r2e.1
during %install and later on (in %files):
%_mandir/*/r2e.1*
(or whatever you like there). Patching the upstream setup script to install the manpage automatically might make also sense to me - but depends on how much work you like to put into this.
