Thanks, but as discussed via email, make's behaviour hasn't changed,
and Fedora seems to have gone back to default binutils behaviour
as well in f25, as redhat bugzilla #1195883 indicates.
In the very same bug report an alternative is proposed, a brp- post
script to transform .a into deterministic .a file, and that indeed
seems the better way.
So, declining.
