- Bump version: 9.11.1 → 9.11.2
- Rebuild online schema documentation
- Bump version: 9.11.0 → 9.11.1
- Fixed kernelList function
The kernelList function searches for the installed kernels
and applies the corresponding initrd name. The information the
method provides is used in case of a custom initrd which should
be used instead of the result of dracut. When requesting the use
of the kiwi firsboot initrd also in the system via the
element, the information from the list is
used to correctly link the kiwi initrd named initrd.vmx to the
expected name of the system as dracut would create it. The
creation of the list was broken which lead to an empty list
and the after effect that the system was not able to reboot.
This Fixes #483
- Update oemboot/rhel-07.0 due to isolinux changes
We are in the middle of improving space and speed for live images, see:
https://github.com/SUSE/kiwi/pull/477
I need an updated python-kiwi for Leap 15. The one in Factory currently is too old
erm - if the maintainer says it's not ready - then it's not ready.
I'm not implying that we should accept a not ready package. Marcus wrote "improve" rather than fix though. Would be nice to speed that up.
I don't even get why the one in TW would be 'too old' - the only issue we have with it is building live images (which turn out too large) - there are no live images in Leap 15
Not staging before maintainer says it is ok to do so
The maintainer declined this for the reason that there's ongoing work on an even better version regarding live images, which is not the main point of this sr. So I would say that is an invalid reason.
Then talk to the maintainer and discuss the point - I'm not going to mediate this. The maintainer declined, it is up to somebody that cares for this update to get in at this moment to convince the maintainer, who knows the code/package, about this plan.
