Seems I found a better description on their wiki (SR 533774)
@lnussel - /srv/www should not be used by packages, right? Do you just have the doc at hand 'how to do it correct' ?
just follow FHS, ie read only program files in e.g /usr/lib/robinhood or /usr/share/robinhood. /etc is for configs the admin is meant to change and /var for stuff the app writes.
Put into datadir and an apache config with an Alias directive or so. kopano-webapp should have an example.
