I'm not sure. This only seems to add "dummy" support for non-x86. Why keep the scary message?
Vc does runtime detection of the CPU. For x86, it uses SSE2, AVX, ... For ARM, the detection is a dummy, and it falls back to a scalar implementation. I only change the else branch for other architectures (PPC, RiscV, ...) so these are as supported as ARM. Vc is a build dependency for e.g. Krita and Calligra. I wanted to make it clear we deviate from upstream, so I kept the message.
Why not submitting this also to upstream?
