@weberho We usually generate the spec file via gem2rpm, eg.
gem2rpm --config gem2rpm.yml ffi-compiler-1.0.1.gem > rubygem-ffi-compiler.spec
This generates the spec file based from the gem spec. Any setting can be overwritten via the gem2rpm.yml.
For example, in this package the description deviates from the gem description. So if someone in the future updates this gem, he probably overwrites it. Unless you add it to the gem2rpm.yml file.
