No objections, but is it really necessary?

AFAIK, the available backends should be detected at runtime, and a error message is presented to the user if the selected backend isn't installed...

This IMO makes sure we have at least one backend available.

This is necessary to have backends installed if you run "zypper in plasma-vault". Otherwise it would just not work.

Well, it did require encfs before so there was a backend available in any case. ;-)

This change basically just "hides" the fact that there is another backend in the GUI IMHO.

But as I wrote, I don't object to this...

Maybe add Supplements though, so that the corresponding backend gets installed automatically if encfs/cryfs is installed.

Ehm, sorry, ignore that.

Actually it doesn't change anything because the new backend packages are empty anyway...

So I still don't see a point really, other than not necessarily having to install encfs (although it still will be pulled in as a Recommends).

But again, I don't object either.

The point of this change is to not require encfs if you only use cryfs.

Thanks, I guess nobody has any objection to this then (and I also think it's good to have those subpackages)
