Hello I'm an upstream developer of snapd and maintainer of the snapd package that lives in the system:snappy repository. I'd like to begin the process of contributing snapd to OpenSUSE Factory. The package is in use since March 2017 and has been maintained since then. There are several things to discuss before it can be added to factory: - setuid bit on /usr/lib/snapd/snap-confine - polkit file /usr/share/polkit-1/actions/io.snapcraft.snapd.policy - packaging warts and adherence to policy - loading apparmor profile on package installation I'd like to submit snapd first and go through the issues. I can offer my time to discuss confinement with the SUSE security team and to present the snapd architecture and answer any questions you may have
