There are two deps for this: grilo-plugins.spec:BuildRequires: pkgconfig(libdmapsharing-3.0) >= 2.9.12 rhythmbox.spec:BuildRequires: pkgconfig(libdmapsharing-3.0) >= 2.9.19
Wouldn't it be easier to port those?
Possibly - but for grilo-plugins, a mr is sent 6 months ago :-(

and I don't want to be the only downstream running patched code.
We could also take the route of not doing this compat package, and just fixing build of libdmapsharing and stay on 3-0 there.
Whats nice with this compat package, is that we will have the current upstream version available when consumers finaly get their act togheter.
