Well, I suppose that getdata only needs python2 for building the python2 bindings. But yes, the project seems not very active anymore, and I can understand that you want to get rid of it (KDE:Extra doesn't seem the best place to maintain it anyway)

No idea how much the functionality matters, never heard of that fileformat until now, TBH.

But no objections from my side.
