This is ok. A date is indeed easier to read.
How is iso format more comprehensible?
Because, you can easily see the date, estimate the age, and check git commits by comparing the date.
It doesn't help for people, that calculate the date from the unix epoch value with mental arithmetic..
Pro's purely deal with sha1 abbreviations, of course.
