Doesn't work as well for 2 reasons. 1) The changes in spec file are missing. 2) Lines of custom test must be indented 1 char in cpanspec.yml.

Please simply run "cpanspec -f tar" when the file is fixed. It will regenerate the spec file (and thus drop your note BTW). The specfile is still main instance for the build, but it gets auto-generated by cpanspec on updates or otherwise the workload of updating cpan packages would not be manageable. So if there aren't important reasons a package should not have manually changed spec files :-)

Ah markup, there should be asterixes before and after the "tar".
