@a_faerber - apparently you have either lost interest in maintaining newlib, or lack the time to do so. Anyway, please consider stepping down as a maintainer.

Wow - 2 months; sorry for you having to wait that long.
To me, it looks like promoting you to a new/additional maintainer makes sense. for one, you know well what you're doing and you also follow up on issues when they arise. So it can only be a win-win
As for the SR specifically: Looks all right to me (I'd probably drop pre-checkin.sh entirely; format_spec_file is an implicit service run on Factory devel projects anyway on check-in - and the real meat is out of the script now)
@a_faerber - without reaction from you by EOD (20210219) I'll consider this SR acceptable and grant Stefan maintainer right (yes, I know, this is a short deadline; but the SR was ignored for 2 months)
