Hi Michal, help me out here. What are your intended targets/goals for your recent OBS patches for crash? I ask because, even though I haven't checked it yet, the patches are probably a lot of what's contained in crash 7.2.9 which I was planning to contribute around now. I don't want to duplicate or override your work or to spend the time comparing all your patches with upstream latest. However, I suspected it's possible your goal was to fix crash for one or more SLE products that have had kernel development that crash hasn't followed. I know there's a good bit of it but the standard practice is to prefer not to change the upstream version in a company product in IBS. The preference is just to patch it as-needed. In which case, if you are aiming to get a crash that supports a latest SLE_15 kernel version (and/or others) then I suspect the better approach would be to patch the relevant IBS project(s) and let OBS crash just follow the upstream version migration to achieve the same content. Your input is welcome.
Hello,
this is crash version which we have in 15 SP2 currently so we could use at least some of the fixes there.
Most of the patches are contained in 7.2.9 - they contain the annotation that shows the upstream vesrion
