It seems there are some opinions from the kernel developer. Will hold this submission for now.
Unless I overlooked something the change should have no effect on current installations. So should be safe to merge.
I've set up https://build.opensuse.org/project/show/home:lnussel:kernel to build the kernel without usrmerge with this. works so safe to accept
