I realized some time ago, that I cannot rpm2cpio latest rpms, due to another compression algorithm. This is how you force obs to use the old one?: +%define _binary_payload w1.gzdio

yes, it forces gzip compression for this particular pkg. We may use "w9" to use compression level 9 instead of 1, but it will not make much difference for the final rpm filesize. I just did copy&paste from somewhere else, where compression speed matters

update-bootloader-rpm-macros

will create a memtest boot option just like that?

Olaf Hering's avatar

The current perl-bootloader code has no effect anymore, grub2-mkconfig generates a separate entry if it finds /boot/memtest.bin
