Hi, I am a gnucash documenter. Yesterday - 1 day before release - I found out, why my wrapping was broken - by this change.
The documentation in /usr/share/doc/packages/xmlformat is still from kitebird with no word about sentence wrapping and how to disable it.
From my POV the first issue, sentence wrapping was made the default - a backward incompatible change.
Thanks for several days of additional work!
That problem is something you need to report to github.com/someth2say/xmlformat . Another problem is that someth2say's xmlformat repo does not even provide a proper curated ChangeLog/NEWS file like the kitebird version did, so that's also on them, for not letting downstreams like openSUSE know.
It definitely is backward-incompatible. However, this is also not going to be fixed, as someth2say wants to stay compatible with previous versions of their own xmlformat version, https://github.com/someth2say/xmlformat/pull/13.
(Oh, and do be aware that we changed to new upstream, as the old upstream had been dead for years.)
