Overview
Request 987334 superseded
docker-compose v2 aka written in golang, 'new' package as the one in V:c is empty; to not break existing python*-docker-compose installations this needs docker-compose-switch that was submitted separately in SR#987333
- Created by ojkastl_buildservice
- In state superseded
- Package maintainer: ojkastl_buildservice
- Supersedes 986041
- Superseded by 992014
This is the v2 version of docker-compose, which behaves differently to python-docker-compose in that there is no /usr/bin/docker-compose anymore.
In my tests using the cli-plugins directory worked, and I could call docker compose version
and get back Docker Compose version 2.6.1
.
Until I have packages compose-switch, I think it is not a good idea to forward this to factory...

This will obsolete python*-docker-compose, but as it does no longer provide /usr/bin/docker-compose, it would be good to install docker-compose-switch, which does provide that. Hence docker-compose-switch has lots of Obsoletes so it is being pulled in when a user updates her system.
Tested on Leap 15.3, 15.4 and Tumbleweed.
Discussion on handling the transition see https://lists.opensuse.org/archives/list/packaging@lists.opensuse.org/thread/H7ADKY5KNCZXTNKODSVOZY2PUGDFGLNI/
Had to supersede the switch SR, so the new SR is SR#987335
