Erlang is a programming language designed at the Ericsson Computer Science Laboratory. Open-source Erlang is being released to help encourage the spread of Erlang outside Ericsson.

ejabberd is a Free and Open Source distributed fault-tolerant Jabber/XMPP server. It is mostly written in Erlang, and runs on many platforms (tested on Linux, FreeBSD, NetBSD, Solaris, Mac OS X and Windows NT/2000/XP).

well suited for dynamic-content webapplications. Two separate.
modes of operations are supported.

* Standalone mode where Yaws runs as a regular webserver daemon.This is the default mode.
* Embedded mode where Yaws runs as an embedded webserver in another erlang application.

This project is where erlang package is actually being developed.
