e2fsprogs
The ext2, ext3 and ext4 file systems are derived from the ext (extended) file system. These are the main file system types used on hard disks in Linux systems.
This package contains programs for creating, checking and maintaining ext2/3/4 filesystems. It also includes a "badblocks" program that can be used to find bad sectors on a disk or other storage device.
