Would you like to take over maintenance of multimedia:apps/mediainfo and possibly multimedia:libs/libmediainfo?

As far as we understand, theses packages are same as our package here (the official ones from MediaInfo developers) but a (slightly modified) .spec files and a formatted changelog, right? And they are the ones streamed in the OpenSUSE / SLE, right? If so, it looks not too difficult to add that to our automatic builds and it is interesting for us.

I'm so sorry, I completely forgot about this. And yes, they are the ones going into Tumbleweed and Backports for SLE. Unsure about the exact differences, but since it's your application you certainly have better insights on how things should be done.

I see 23.09 came out today, perhaps you could take over from the next release if interested?

Regards

@g-maxime, 23.10 is out, any thought to that proposal? Thanks.

Apologizes for the lack of answer. We didn't have the time to check exactly what we need to do and how to automate that, could we skip our turn for this release and target the next one for the change of maintainer?

Luigi Baldoni's avatar

Done.

Maxime Gervais's avatar

We have completed the integration of those repositories into our release process. If the merge requests are correct, we are ready to take the maintenership

You are now maintainer of both packages.
