Edit Package wireshark

A Network Traffic Analyser

Wireshark is a free network protocol analyzer for Unix and Windows. It
allows you to examine data from a live network or from a capture file
on disk. You can interactively browse the capture data, viewing summary
and detail information for each packet. Wireshark has several powerful
features, including a rich display filter language and the ability to
view the reconstructed stream of a TCP session.

Wireshark here has the global plugin path set to /usr//usr/lib64/wireshark/plugins/3.0

Could tshark (CLI version of wireshark) be split out in a separate package similar to how other distros do it?

'wireshark' would pull both 'wireshark-cli' and 'wireshark-qt'. tshark and other command-line utilities that do not depend on Qt/X11/... could be installed with the -cli package without pulling all the gfx dependencies

I will think about this a bit more. The problem is that we pull the same source into the SUSE distros. Introducing new packages is a problem there.

Implemented exactly like that since 2014 (SR#244988) / 2016 (boo#961170). What's the problem?

Ah indeed, my bad. I was expecting "wireshark-cli" but the base wireshark package doesn't include Qt stuff. It's a bit different from what I described but it works too :)
