File README.SuSE of Package avifile

To be able to decode/encode certain codecs, avifile requires Windows DLLs
installed in the directory /usr/lib/win32

You can copy these files from your existing Windows installation. The following
DLLs are supported:

3ivxdmo.dll divxa32.acm imaadp32.acm m3jpeg32.dll msvidc32.dll
acelpdec.ax divxc32.dll imc32.acm m3jpegdec.ax mvoiced.vwp
apmpg4v1.apl divxc32f.dll ir32_32.dll m3jpegenc.ax qdv.dll
apmpg4v1.dll divxcfvk.dll ir41_32.dll mcmjpg32.dll tm20dec.ax
asusasv2.dll divxcvki.ax ir41_qc.dll mpg4c32.dll tssoft32.acm
asusasvd.dll divxcvki.dll ir50_32.dll mpg4ds32.ax voxmsdec.ax
ativcr2.dll divxdec.ax ir50_qc.dll msadp32.acm vp31vfw.dll
avimszh.dll huffyuv.dll ir50_qcx.dll msg711.acm wmv8ds32.ax
avizlib.dll i263_32.drv l3codeca.acm msgsm32.acm wmvds32.ax
divx.dll iccvid.dll l3codecx.ax msh261.drv
divx_c32.ax icmw_32.dll lhacm.acm msms001.vwp

You can also copy these files from your existing Windows Media Player
installation. The following DLLs are supported:

wma9dmod.dll wmadmod.dll wmspdmod.dll wmv9dmod.dll wmvdmod.dll

Depending on what codecs you are planning to use you may or may not need all of
these files.

For legal reasons this version of avifile has limited functionality. Here is
a list of what has been disabled:

MPEG-4 codec (using a Win32 codec DLL should work)
AC3 decoding (loading a third-party AC3 library (liba52.so.0) should work)
MP3 encoding (will work if a binary of the lame MP3 encoder library
(libmp3lame.so.0) is installed on your system)
ASF parsing
DivX decoding (loading a third-party DivX library (libdivxencore.so.0)
	      should work)
VIDIX (it depends on Direct Hardware Access with incertain
	      legal status)

Advanced users can build an RPM package containing the full functionality by
changing the line

%define DISTRIBUTABLE 1

to

%define DISTRIBUTABLE 0

in the spec file of the source RPM.
