# Updating to the latest version

There is no need to manually update the version in any of the files.  The update
script fetches the latest release from Github automatically.  Run this command
to update the `_service` and `.spec` files:

```
./update.sh
```

Add release notes, other changelog relevant comments.  Release notes are here:
https://github.com/GPUOpen-Drivers/AMDVLK/releases

```
osc vc
```

The next step is technically optional if you want to skip a local build.

```
osc build
osc status
```

Upload the changes to OBS:

```
osc commit
```
