RKHUNTER FAQ

DATABASE UPDATES
To be able to run automatic database update, you will need to install wget 
and set the DB_UPDATE variable to "yes".

CRON
rkhunter.cron is a file that can be placed in a directory read by cron to

SYSTEMD
rkhunter.timer and rkhunter.service are files that can be placed in 
/etc/systemd/system and enabled with:
  systemctl enable rkhunter.timer
  systemctl start rkhunter.timer
It will start rkhunter 15minutes after boot and every 2 days after that.
