File README.SUSE of Package netqmail

This is a highly non-standard qmail installation. Therefore, please direct
questions and/or bugreports to the package owner, NOT to D. J. Bernstein
and NOT to the qmail mailing list!

Modifications include:

 * different installation layout to meet FHS requirements (see /var/lib/qmail)
 * different users + groups
 * various patches:
    + qmail-spp plugin mechanism
    + STARTTLS support by F. Vermeulen
    + qmtpd bugfix
    + handling of non 2xx responses during HELO/EHLO
    + support for VERH (for ezmlm)
    + support for sending mail via IPv6
 * support for DKIM via perl's Mail::DKIM (see /etc/qmail/dkim for details)
 * LSB-compliant (more or less) SysV init scripts
   OR systemd-compatible services on openSUSE >= 12.0

Before starting netqmail you should do the following:

* Create ~alias/.qmail-root and ~alias/.qmail-postmaster to handle root's and
  postmaster's mail. Usually you'll want to forward this to an existing account.
* For every existing user supposed to receive mail locally, create a Maildir
  in their home (using /var/lib/qmail/bin/maildirmake).
* Check the configuration in /etc/qmail/control.
