Packaging Notes

The kiax source distribution brings along all needed libraries:
gsm, libiax, libiax2, speex, sox, spandsp, portaudio+portmixer.
Newer copies of some of these are part of the iaxclient source
distribution.
Ideally, these would all be separate packages, and the kiax build
would just use the (shared) libraries from these.
This split has not been done initially, but will be performed later.

For now, the package has been compiled with the iaxclient libraries,
but also with iLBC which is part of the kiax distribution, but
not iaxclient. So kiax has support for GSM, speex, iLBC, and uLaw.
