This package is based on the package 'qwt' from project 'Education'.

The Qwt library contains GUI Components and utility classes which are
primarily useful for programs with a technical background. Beside a 2D
plot widget it provides scales, sliders, dials, compasses, thermometers,
wheels and knobs to control or display values, arrays or ranges of type
double.

Step is an interactive physical simulator. It works like this: you
place some bodies on the scene, add some forces such as gravity or
springs, then click "Simulate" and Step shows you how your scene will
evolve according to the laws of physics. You can change every property
of bodies/forces in your experiment (even during simulation) and see
how this will change evolution of the experiment. With Step you can not
only learn but feel how physics works !

xdg-user-dirs is a tool to help manage "well known" user directories
like the desktop folder and the music folder. It also
handles localization (i.e. translation) of the filenames.

The xdg-utils package is a set of simple scripts that provide basic
desktop integration functions for any Free Desktop, such as Linux.

They are intended to provide a set of defacto standards. This means
that: * Third party software developers can rely on these
xdg-utils for all of their simple integration needs.

* Developers of desktop environments can make sure that their
environments are well supported

If a desktop developer wants to be certain that their environment
functions with all third party software, then can simply make sure that
these utilities work properly in their environment.
