HAVP (HTTP AntiVirus proxy) is a proxy with an anti-virus filter. It does not cache or filter content. At the moment the complete traffic is scanned. The reason for this is the chance of malicious code in nearly every filetype e.g. HTML (JavaScript) or Jpeg. I aim to stop especially dialer or browser exploits. But writing a http Anti Virus Proxy is a real dilemma! Huge downloads are a problem for virus scanning proxies. A Client should not receive data which is unchecked by the virus scanner, but big downloads should not timeout.

This package is based on the package 'librsync' from project 'openSUSE:11.0'.

librsync implements the "rsync" algorithm, which allows remote
differencing of binary files. librsync computes a delta relative to a
file's checksum, so the two files need not both be present to generate
a delta.

nuttcp is a network performance measurement tool intended for use by network
and system managers. Its most basic usage is to determine the raw TCP (or
UDP) network layer throughput by transferring memory buffers from a source
system across an interconnecting network to a destination system, either
transferring data for a specified time interval, or alternatively
transferring a specified number of bytes. In addition to reporting the
achieved network throughput in Mbps, nuttcp also provides additional useful
information related to the data transfer such as user, system, and
wall-clock time, transmitter and receiver CPU utilization, and loss
percentage (for UDP transfers).

nuttcp is based on nttcp, which in turn was an enhancement by someone at
Silicon Graphics (SGI) on the original ttcp, which was written by Mike Muuss
at BRL sometime before December 1984, to compare the performance of TCP
stacks by U.C. Berkeley and BBN to help DARPA decide which version to place
in the first BSD Unix release. nuttcp has several useful features beyond
those of the basic ttcp/nttcp, such as a server mode, rate limiting,
multiple parallel streams, and timer based usage. More recent changes
include IPv6 support, IPv4 multicast, and the ability to set the maximum
segment size or TOS/DSCP bits. nuttcp is continuing to evolve to meet new
requirements that arise and to add desired new features. nuttcp has been
successfully built and run on a variety of Solaris, SGI, and PPC/X86 Linux
systems, and should probably work fine on most flavors of Unix. It has also
been used successfully on various versions of the Windows operating system.

IPsec Implementation which Allows Building of VPNs

OpenS/WAN is the successor of FreeS/WAN.

OpenS/WAN is an IPsec implementation which allows building Virtual
Private Networks (VPNs). A typical VPN setup consists of two trusted
networks connected over an insecure network, typically the Internet.
OpenS/WAN allows you to create an encrypted tunnel through the insecure
area. Unlike CIPE, it is interoperable with other operating systems or
even router IPsec implementations

This packages include KLIPS kernel module.

pflogsumm.pl is designed to provide an over-view of postfix activity, with just enough detail to give the administrator a "heads up" for potential trouble spots. The following is an over-view of the reports produced:

* Total number of:
o Messages received, delivered, forwarded, deferred, bounced and rejected
o Bytes in messages received and delivered
o Sending and Recipient Hosts/Domains
o Senders and Recipients
o Optional SMTPD totals for number of connections, number of hosts/domains connecting, average connect time and total connect time
* Per-Day Traffic Summary (for multi-day logs)
* Per-Hour Traffic (daily average for multi-day logs)
* Optional Per-Hour and Per-Day SMTPD connection summaries
* Sorted in descending order:
o Recipient Hosts/Domains by message count, including:
+ Number of messages sent to recipient host/domain
+ Number of bytes in messages
+ Number of defers
+ Average delivery delay
+ Maximum delivery delay
o Sending Hosts/Domains by message and byte count
o Optional Hosts/Domains SMTPD connection summary
o Senders by message count
o Recipients by message count
o Senders by message size
o Recipients by message size
with an option to limit these reports to the top nn.
* A Semi-Detailed Summary of:
o Messages deferred
o Messages bounced
o Messages rejected
* Summaries of warnings, fatal errors, and panics
* Summary of master daemon messages
* Optional detail of messages received, sorted by domain, then sender-in-domain, with a list of recipients-per-message.
* Optional output of "mailq" run

Pflogsumm.pl was written using Perl 5.004. As of version 19990413-02, pflogsumm worked with Perl 5.003, but future compatibility is not guaranteed.

UCARP allows a couple of hosts to share common virtual IP addresses in order
to provide automatic failover. It is a portable userland implementation of the
secure and patent-free Common Address Redundancy Protocol (CARP, OpenBSD’s
alternative to the patents-bloated VRRP).

Strong points of the CARP protocol are: very low overhead, cryptographically signed messages, interoperability between different operating systems and no need for any dedicated extra network link between redundant hosts.

The program unrtf is a converter from Rich Text Format (RTF) to a growing number of document formats. At present it supports HyperText Markup Language (HTML), plain text, text with VT100 codes, and LaTeX. All output formats except HTML are \"alpha\" i.e. limited and development has just begun. However with HTML, the program supports tables, fonts, hyperlinks, and paragraph alignment. Font support includes face and size changes, as well as typical attributes such as italic, bold, underlining, strikethrough, smallcaps, allcaps, expand, compress and both foreground and background colors. Images are always stored to separate files in the current directory, or they can be ignored.
