LibTorrent is a BitTorrent library written in C++ for *nix, with a focus on high performance and good code. The library differentiates itself from other implementations by transfering directly from file pages to the network stack. On high-bandwidth connections it is able to seed at 3 times the speed of the official client.

uriparser is a strictly RFC 3986 compliant URI parsing library. It is
cross-platform, fast, and supports Unicode.

VNC is a set of programs using the RFB (Remote Frame Buffer) protocol.
They are designed to "export" a frame buffer via the network. It is
already in wide use for administration, but it is not that easy to
program a server yourself. This has been changed by LibVNCServer.

X.org already has a virtual Xvnc server which you can start as an own
screen (e.g. :1) and connect to with a VNC client (e.g. vncviewer from
tightvnc). The x11vnc binary (that allows you to export the window of a
real running X11 server) has been split off into its own package on
2007-07-16.

libxspf the replacement for libSpiff brings XSPF playlist reading and

GNU nano is a small and friendly text editor. It aims to emulate the
Pico text editor while also offering a few enhancements.

p7zip is a quick port of 7z.exe and 7za.exe (command line version of

The Google data Python Client Library provides a library and source
code that make it easy to access data through Google Data APIs.

QPDF is a program that does structural, content-preserving
transformations on PDF files. It could have been called something
like pdf-to-pdf. It also provides many useful capabilities to
developers of PDF-producing software or for people who just want to
look at the innards of a PDF file to learn more about how they work.

QPDF offers many capabilities such as linearization (web
optimization), encrypt, and decryption of PDF files. Note that QPDF
does not have the capability to create PDF files from scratch; it is
only used to create PDF files with special characteristics starting
from other PDF files or to inspect or extract information from
existing PDF files.

re2c is a tool for writing fast and flexible lexers. Unlike other such
tools, it concentrates solely on generating efficient code for matching
regular expressions. This makes it suitable for a wide variety of
applications. The generated scanners approach hand-crafted ones in
terms of size and speed.
