The goal of this project is to provide as much (ready to use) software packages as possible around (and for) the the PyMVPA framework (http://www.pymvpa.org)

This library provides Python functions for agglomerative clustering. Its features include 1) generating hierarchical clusters from distance matrices, 2) computing distance matrices from observation vectors, 3) computing statistics on clusters, 4) cutting linkages to generate flat clusters and 5) visualizing clusters with dendrograms.
The interface is very similar to MATLAB's Statistics Toolbox API to make code easier to port from MATLAB to Python/Numpy. The core implementation of this library is in C for efficiency.

Using PyNIfTI one can easily read and write NIfTI and ANALYZE images from
within Python. The NiftiImage class provides Python-style access to the full
header information. Image data is made available via NumPy arrays.

These packages should be compatible with EPEL5 (if not please complain).

This package is based on the package 'cmake' from project 'science'.

This package is based on the package 'cmake' from project 'openSUSE:Factory'.

CMake is a cross-platform, open-source make system

It is required in the science repo to build kicad on older systems.
Do not publish this package, as it's only required during build.

This package is based on the package 'nifticlib' from project 'home:hankem'.

This version is built without ATLAS as a build-dependency. This numpy package is only needed as a
build-dependency for other packages in this project. It should not be used for other purposes but
instead one should stick to the EPEL binaries.

This package is based on the package 'python-hcluster' from project 'home:hankem'.

This package is based on the package 'python-mvpa' from project 'home:hankem'.

PyMVPA is a Python module intended to ease pattern classification analyses of large datasets. It provides high-level abstraction of typical processing steps and a number of implementations of some popular algorithms. While it is not limited to the neuroimaging domain, it is eminently suited for such datasets. PyMVPA is truely free software (in every respect) and additionally requires nothing but free-software to run.

This package is based on the package 'swig' from project 'openSUSE:11.0'.

SWIG is a compiler that attempts to make it easy to integrate C, C++,
or Objective-C code with scripting languages including Perl, Tcl, and
Python. In a nutshell, you give it a bunch of ANSI C/C++ declarations
and it generates an interface between C and your favorite scripting
language. However, this is only scratching the surface of what SWIG
can do--some of its more advanced features include automatic
documentation generation, module and library management, extensive
customization options, and more.
