This library can handle MNG and JNG formats that contain animated
pictures. These formats should replace the GIF format.

Nih is a library of C helper functions.

It duplicates much of glib for no (really) good reason.

The OpenSSL Project is a collaborative effort to develop a robust,
commercial-grade, full-featured, and open source toolkit implementing
the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL v2/v3) and Transport Layer Security (TLS
v1) protocols with full-strength cryptography. The project is managed
by a worldwide community of volunteers that use the Internet to
communicate, plan, and develop the OpenSSL toolkit and its related
documentation.

Derivation and License

OpenSSL is based on the excellent SSLeay library developed by Eric A.
Young and Tim J. Hudson. The OpenSSL toolkit is licensed under an
Apache-style license, which basically means that you are free to get it
and to use it for commercial and noncommercial purposes.

The purpose of libsmi is to

* Give network management applications a concise programmer-friendly
interface to access MIB module information

* Separate the knowledge on SMI from the main parts of management
applications

* Allow addition of new kinds of MIB repositories without the need to
adapt applications that make use of libsmi

This library interprets metafile images and can either display them
using the X Window System or convert them to standard formats such as
PNG, JPEG, PS, EPS, and more.

Licenses is a collection of license texts found in the packages of a
SuSE Linux distribution. The files are installed at
/usr/share/doc/licenses Other packages are encouraged to symlink to
this location, instead of having a fulltext copy of a license in the
packages.

LILO boots Linux from your hard drive. It can also boot other operating
systems, such as MS-DOS and OS/2, and can even boot DOS from the second
hard drive. The configuration file is /etc/lilo.conf.

The PowerPC variant can be used on new PowerMacs and CHRP machines.

The ix86 variant comes with Memtest86, offering an image that can be
booted to perform a memory test.

RPC server that supports ONC clients on PC (DOS, OS/2, Macintosh, and
other) systems.

GNU m4 is an implementation of the traditional Unix macro processor.

Midnight Commander is a Norton Commander clone, a program that
manipulates and manages files and directories. It is useful, fast, and
has color display on the Linux console. It also has mouse support if
you run the gpm mouse server. This program requires the terminal
description files in /usr/lib/terminfo, which are found in ncurses.rpm
(the essential ones) or terminfo.rpm (the rest).

You can also use Midnight Commander under the X Window System with your
mouse. If you enter 'mc -c', colors are used.

In Midnight Commander, the screen is divided into four sections: The
majority of the screen is covered by two directory panels. The second
to last line on the screen is the shell command line. The last line
displays the function key assignments. At the very top, the menu list
is shown. One of the directories displayed is the current working
directory. This is where most of the commands are found. For certain
commands, like copy and move, the second directory is used as the
target directory.

MagicPoint is an X Window System presentation tool. It is designed to
make simple presentations easy while making complicated presentations
possible. Its presentation file (the suffix is typically .mgp) is plain
text so that you can create presentation files quickly with your
favorite editor (Emacs, for example). The package also includes the
tools mgp2html, mgp2ps, and mgp2latex, which convert mgp presentations
into other file formats.

This program shows the status of the physical and logical drives
attached to a LSI 1030 RAID (mptlinux, fusion, mpt, ioc) controller.

Nast is a packet sniffer and a LAN analyzer based on Libnet and Libpcap.

It can sniff in normal mode or in promiscuos mode the packets on a network interface and log it. It dumps the headers of packets and
the payload in ascii or ascii-hex format. You can apply a filter. The sniffed data can be saved in a separated file.

As analyzer tool, it has many features like:
* Build LAN hosts list
* Follow a TCP-DATA stream
* Find LAN internet gateways
* Discorver promiscous nodes
* Reset an established connection
* Perform a single half-open portscanner
* Perform a multi half-open portscanner
* Find link type (hub or switch)
* Catch daemon banner of LAN nodes
* Control arp answers to discover possible arp-spoofings
* Byte couting with an optional filter
* Write reports logging

It also provides a new ncurses interface

netconsole is a kernel feature to log the dmesg output via the network.
The used network driver must support the polling function.

netconsole-server is a wrapper for insmod to load netconsole.o with the
correct options. Use netcat on the client side to receive the kernel
messages.

The latest version of the Portable Bitmap Plus Utilities. This large
package, which is by now available for all hardware platforms, provides
tools for graphics conversion. Using these tools, images can be
converted from virtually any format into any other format. A few of the
supported formats include: GIF, PC-Paintbrush, IFF ILBM, Gould Scanner
file, MTV ray tracer, Atari Degas .pi1 and .pi3, Macintosh PICT, HP
Paintjet file, QRT raytracer, AUTOCAD slide, Atari Spectrum (compressed
and uncompressed), Andrew Toolkit raster object, and many more. On top
of that, man pages are included for all tools.

Obex-Data-Server provides a obex dbus api. Used for bluetooth
applications to transfer and receive data.

GNU Ocrad is an OCR (Optical Character Recognition) program implemented
as a filter and based on a feature extraction method. It reads a bitmap
image in PBM format and outputs text in the ISO-8859-1 (Latin-1)
charset. It can be used as a stand-alone console application or as a
back-end to other programs.

gocr is another interesting command line OCR tool. Both can be plugged
into Kooka, the KDE scan and OCR program.

OpenVAS-Client is a terminal and GUI client application for OpenVAS and
Nessus. In fact it implements the Nessus Transfer Protocol (NTP). The
GUI is implemented using GTK+ 2.4 and allows for managing network
vulnerability scan sessions.

OpenVAS-Client is a successor of NessusClient 1.X. The fork happened
with NessusClient CVS HEAD 20070704. The reason was that the original
authors of NessusClient decided to stop active development for this
(GTK-based) NessusClient in favour of a newly written QT-based version
released as proprietary software.

OpenVAS-Client is released under GNU GPLv2 and may be linked with
OpenSSL.

openvas-libraries is the base library for the OpenVAS network security scanner.

PBButtons is a programm suite to handle the special hotkeys of an Apple
iBook, PowerBook or MacBook.

With this programm the keys for the display brightness, the volume of
speaker and headphone, the mute key and the eject key will do their job
as expected.

This tool allows you to edit Mac partition tables.

A photographic camera with a standard CCD sensor is able to acquire an
image with simultaneous dynamic range of not more than 1:1000. The
basic idea to create an image with a higher dynamic range is to combine
multiple images with different exposure settings, thus making use of
available sequential dynamic range.

Bugowner

pfstmo package contains the implementation of state-of-the-art tone
mapping operators. The motivation here is to provide an implementation
of tone mapping operators suitable for convenient processing of both
static images and animations.

pfstools package is a set of command line (and one GUI) programs for
reading, writing, manipulating and viewing high-dynamic range (HDR)
images and video frames. All programs in the package exchange data
using a simple generic file format (pfs) for HDR data. The concept of
the pfstools is similar to netpbm package for low-dynamic range images.

Powerpc32 is a simple utility for compiling PowerPC32 packages on
PowerPC64 machines. Powerpc32 creates an environment for the specified
program (shell) and all child processes. In the created environment,
uname -m returns ppc, so you can create 32 bit PowerPC programs.
