Involved Projects and Packages

GNOME themes, including Ximian Industrial and selected background
images.

This package contains several extra GNOME themes.

This packages contains the standard GNOME themes from GNOME 3 and
later.

GNOME Tweak Tool is an application for changing the advanced settings
of GNOME 3.

This package contains documents that are targeted for GNOME end-users.

gnome-user-share is a small package that binds together various free
software projects to bring easy to use user-level file sharing to the
masses.

The program is meant to run in the background when the user is logged
in, and when file sharing is enabled a webdav server is started that
shares the $HOME/Public folder. The share is then published to all
computers on the local network using mDNS/rendezvous, so that it shows
up in the Network location in GNOME.

The program also allows to share files using ObexFTP over Bluetooth.

gnome-vfs-monikers contains all Bonobo monikers that were previously in
the main gnome-vfs package.

GNOME VFS is the GNOME virtual file system. It is the foundation of the
Nautilus file manager. It provides a modular architecture and ships
with several modules that implement support for file systems, HTTP,
FTP, and others. It provides a URI-based API, a back-end supporting
asynchronous file operations, a MIME type manipulation library, and
other features.

This package is part of the gnomemm project and provides a C++
interface for gnome-vfs.

A collection of GStreamer effects to be used in different GNOME Modules.

GNOME Web Photographer is a tool to generate full-size image files and
thumbnails from HTML files and web pages.

Gnumeric is a spreadsheet application with advanced features and
analytics. It aims to minimize the cost of transition from proprietary
spreadsheets by offering a familiar look and feature set. In addition
to read and write support for all versions of Microsoft Excel
(including reading encrypted files), there is also support for many
other formats including:

*Applix 4 and 5 *DIF *Lotus-123 (wk1, wk2, wk3) *OpenOffice.org (Oasis)
*PlanPerfect (pln) *Psion5 *Quattro Pro (wb1, wb2, wb3) *SYLK
*XBase/DB3

Text formats, such as comma or tab separated values, HTML, XHTML, and
Latex, are supported and there are powerful assistants to handle custom
needs.

Gnumeric is part of the GNOME project.

GOB is a very simple preprocessor for making GObject objects with
inline C code so that generated files are not editted. Syntax is
inspired by java and yacc or lex.

Gobby is a free collaborative editor. This means that it provides you
with the possibility to edit files simultaneously with other users over
a network. It supports multiple documents in one session.
The platforms on which you could use Gobby are so far Microsoft Windows,
Linux, Mac OS X and other Unix-like ones.

This is the latest version of Gobby, which is using the Infinote protocol.

This is the 0.4 version of Gobby, which is not using the Infinote
protocol.

The goal of the project is to describe the APIs and collect them in
a uniform, machine readable format.

These are common operations for document-centric applications that
are conceptually simple, but complex to implement fully. -

Goobox is a CD player and ripper that always knows just what to do.

GooCanvas is similar in many ways to GnomeCanvas and FooCanvas. But it
uses cairo for rendering, has an optional model/view split, and uses
interfaces for items & models (so you can easily turn any application
object into a canvas item or model).

This package provides a C++ interface for goocanvas. It is a
subpackage of the gtkmm project. The interface provides a convenient
interface for C++ programmers to create Gnome GUIs with GTK+'s
flexible object-oriented framework.
