Why do I need batctl ? B.A.T.M.A.N. advanced operates on layer 2 and thus all
hosts participating in the virtual switch are completely transparent for all
protocols above layer 2. Therefore the common diagnosis tools do not work as
expected. To overcome these problems batctl was created. At the moment batctl
contains ping, traceroute, tcpdump and interfaces to the kernel module
settings.
ipvsadm is a utility for administering the IP virtual server services
offered by the Linux kernel with Linux Virtual Server support.

A secure pickle-like module. It support basic types (int, string, unicode,
tuple, list, dict, set,...), old and new-style classes (you need to register
the class for security), object cycles, and it can be extended to support
C-defined type.
Eventlet is a concurrent networking library for Python that allows you to
change how you run your code, not how you write it.
It uses epoll or libevent for highly scalable non-blocking I/O. Coroutines
ensure that the developer uses a blocking style of programming that is similar
to threading, but provide the benefits of non-blocking I/O. The event dispatch
is implicit, which means you can easily use Eventlet from the Python
interpreter, or as a small part of a larger application.
mock is a Python module that provides a core Mock class. It removes the need
to create a host of stubs throughout your test suite. After performing an
action, you can make assertions about which methods / attributes were used and
arguments they were called with. You can also specify return values and set
needed attributes in the normal way.
A small generic library for writing clients for Django's Piston REST APIs.
SymPy is a Python library for symbolic mathematics. It aims to become a full-featured computer algebra system (CAS) while keeping the code as simple as possible in order to be comprehensible and easily extensible. SymPy is written entirely in Python and does not require any external libraries.
Tempita is a small templating language for text substitution.
This isn't meant to be the Next Big Thing in templating; it's just a
handy little templating language for when your project outgrows
string.Template or % substitution. It's small, it embeds
Python in strings, and it doesn't do much else.
Available text colors: grey, red, green, yellow, blue, magenta, cyan, white.
Available text highlights: on_grey, on_red, on_green, on_yellow, on_blue, on_magenta, on_cyan, on_white.
Available attributes: bold, dark, underline, blink, reverse, concealed.
unittest-xml-reporting is a unittest test runner that can save test results
to XML files that can be consumed by a wide range of tools, such as build
systems, IDEs and continuous integration servers.
The zc-lockfile package provides a basic portable implementation of
interprocess locks using lock files. The purpose if not specifically to
lock files, but to simply provide locks with an implementation based on
file-locking primitives. Of course, these locks could be used to mediate
access to other files
zdaemon is a Python package which provides APIs for managing
applications run as daemons. Its principal use to date has been to
manage the application server and storage server daemons for Zope / ZEO,
although it is not limited to running Python-based applications
An event publishing system and a very simple event-dispatching system on
which more sophisticated event dispatching systems can be built. For
example, a type-based event dispatching system that builds on zope.event
can be found in zope.component.
Proxies are special objects which serve as mostly-transparent wrappers
around another object, intervening in the apparent behavior of the
wrapped object only when necessary to apply the policy (e.g., access
checking, location brokering, etc.) for which the proxy is responsible.
This package is intended to be independently reusable in any Python
project. It is maintained by the Zope Toolkit project.
This package provides an implementation of object interfaces for Python.
Interfaces are a mechanism for labeling objects as conforming to a given
API or contract. So, this package can be considered as implementation of
the Design By Contract methodology support in Python.
