Involved Projects and Packages

An easy and secure web based password store.
The user is able to look up all his passwords only by using his browser.
Eleusis stores all passwords encrypted with a master password which was set by the user.
Because of this master password only the user himself can access his passwords.
Eleusis never stores anything unencrypted on the hard disk drive and so no one unauthorized can access the passwords even with forensic tools.
The Eleusis Project uses the Horde Framework and just needs MCrypt for PHP for the encryption/decryption.
Because of this Eleusis can be used by any user who just has some webspace available.

Gollem is a web-based file manager, providing the ability to fully manage a
hierarchical file system stored in a variety of backends such as a SQL
database, as part of a real filesystem, an FTP server, or an SSH2 server.

A set of PHP scripts that implement an IMAP-based Web mail system.
Assuming you have an account on a server that supports IMAP, you can
theoretically use an installation of IMP to check your mail from
anywhere you have Web access.

IMP does not require an IMAP server to be running on the machine you
install it on unless you are intending to have it use the current
machine for its IMAP connections. If you are connecting to a local
server for your mail, you do not need IMAP.

IMP requires a database to be running if you want to use the extended
features, such as the address book and prefs. It currently supports
PostgreSQL, MySql, Oracle, Informix, and Sybase.

Ingo, the "Email Filter Rules Manager", started as a frontend for
the Sieve filter language, and is now a generic and complete filter
rule frontend that currently is able to create Sieve, procmail,
maildrop, and IMAP filter rules. The IMAP filter driver translates
the filter rules on demand to IMAP commands, executed via PHP's IMAP
extension and has replaced IMP's internal filtering code. It is now
the default filtering agent in IMP H3 (4.x).

Kronolith is the Horde calendar application. It provides a stable
and featureful individual calendar system for every Horde user, with
integrated collaboration/scheduling features. It makes extensive use
of the Horde Framework to provide integration with other
applications.

Right now, Kronolith implements a solid, stand-alone calendar system,
allowing repeating events, all-day events, custom fields, keywords,
shared calendars, iCalendar support, generation of free/busy
information, and managing multiple users through Horde
Authentication. The calendar API that Kronolith uses is abstracted
such that it could work with any backend, but right now we provide
SQL (abstracted to support most databases, including MySQL,
PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MSSQL via PEAR DB), and Kolab backend
libraries.

MIMP is a project to create a version of IMP suitable for mobile
devices such as WAP phones or PDAs. Basic IMP functionality is
implemented including mailbox viewing and paging, viewing messages,
deleting, replying, forwarding, and composing new messages.
This is probably the last version of the standalone MIMP packages
as MIMP will be an integrated part of further IMP releases

Mnemo is the Horde notes and memos application. It lets users keep
free-text notes and other bits of information which doesn't fit as a
contact, a todo item, an event, etc. It is very similar in
functionality to the Palm Memo application.

Nag is the Horde task list application. It stores todo items, things
due later this week, etc. It is very similar in functionality to the
Palm ToDo application.

Passwd is the Horde password changing application. While it has been released
and is in production use at many sites, it is also under heavy development in
an effort to expand and improve the module.
Right now, Passwd provides fairly complete support for changing passwords via
Poppassd, LDAP, Unix expect scripts, the Unix smbpasswd command for SMB/CIFS
passwords, Kolab, ADSI, Pine, Serv-U FTP, VMailMgr, vpopmail, and SQL passwords.
Passwd is part of a suite of account management modules for Horde consisting of
Accounts, Forwards, Passwd, and Vacation.
Collectively these modules now comprise what is known as Sork. There is a
mailing list available for these modules. See
http://lists.horde.org/mailman/listinfo/sork/ for information or to subscribe.

Turba is a set of PHP scripts that implement a contacts directory
and management interface. Turba also provides an API for external
applications to interface with address books, providing adding and
searching features that you can hook right into other applications.

IMP, the Internet Mail Program, is one of the most popular and widely deployed open source webmail applications in the world.
It allows universal, web-based access to IMAP and POP3 mail servers and provides Ajax, mobile and traditional interfaces
with a rich range of features normally found only in desktop email clients.

Ingo is an email-filter management application. It is fully internationalized, integrated with Horde and the IMP Webmail client,
and supports both server-side (Sieve, procmail) and client-side (IMAP) message filtering.

Kronolith is the Horde calendar application.
It provides web-based calendars backed by a SQL database or a Kolab server.
Supported features include Ajax and mobile interfaces, shared calendars, remote calendars,
invitation management (iCalendar/iTip), free/busy management, resource management, alarms, recurring events,
and a sophisticated day/week view which handles arbitrary numbers of overlapping events.

Nag is a web-based application built upon the Horde Application Framework which provides a simple,
clean interface for managing online task lists (i.e., todo lists).
It also includes strong integration with the other Horde applications and allows
users to share task lists or enable light-weight project management.

The Horde Application Framework is a flexible, modular, general-purpose web
application framework written in PHP. It provides an extensive array of
components that are targeted at the common problems and tasks involved in
developing modern web applications. It is the basis for a large number of
production-level web applications, notably the Horde Groupware suites. For
more information on Horde or the Horde Groupware suites, visit
http://www.horde.org.

and a sophisticated day/week view which handles arbitrary numbers of overlapping events.

The Mnemo Note Manager is the Horde notes/memos application. It allows
users to keep web-based notes and freeform text. Notes may be shared with
other users via shared notepads. It requires the Horde Application
Framework and an SQL database or Kolab server for backend storage.

Nag is a web-based application built upon the Horde Application Framework which provides a simple,
clean interface for managing online task lists (i.e., todo lists).
It also includes strong integration with the other Horde applications and allows

The timeobjects application doesn't have an interface but provides streams
of events to any applications that can consume them, notably the Horde
calendar application. It contains drivers for facebook events and weather
forecasts and can easily be extended by custom drivers.
