Can we try lowering the required version for python-msgpack to 0.5.4? I know upstream uses 0.5.6, but that does not mean a lower version cannot work fine. It would make it possible to ship the latest version with Leap 15.1. Python-msgpack comes from SLE and is not so easy to update.
