In the version 5.8.7.1 the system tray is buggy. It does not show the FireTray and AllTray icons. I needed to switch to 5.8.6 from the base distribution to see them again.
Please write some more information into the bug report: https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1026999
I'll revert the patch meanwhile.
