Could you please update to the most recent release (1.4.0)?
Well, yes, this is already happening: https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/1003684 . That said, please, be patient. I'm maintaining the package as a volunteer effort, in my spare time. It's not like pushes help making things faster in any way... :-/
Thanks, that's great. No pushes intended.
Ok. All good :-)
The options for this version are not matching the ones on the github, this for example is completely missing:
https://github.com/89luca89/distrobox/blob/main/docs/usage/distrobox-assemble.md
Also the '--additional-packages/-ap: additional packages to install during initial container setup' mentioned here is missing.
https://github.com/89luca89/distrobox/blob/main/docs/usage/distrobox-create.md
Doesn't seem version related, any idea whats going on?
Edit: My mistake, cleared it with upstream, its only in the devel version for now. Please disregard and thank you for maintaining this.
On what basis you're saying that it "Doesn't seem version related" ?
I updated my post. The basis was that the version on opensuse was the latest released version on github, but there currently is no released version with these options.
Right. As of now, I've always packaged upstream releases. Nothing forbids starting to package the latest upstream commit, but it's a bit more challenging and time consuming, so I'm not sure we'd be able to do it properly...
I think you are doing it correctly, there is a reason there isn't a new release out yet, I tried the git version and almost immediately stumbled upon bugs related to the as of yet unreleased features. The bug is know but upstream currently doesn't have the time to fix it according to their matrix room.
Sounds like they are making the right calls and we should probably stick to their releases.
