Konqueror allows you to manage your files and browse the web in a
unified interface.

Thanks to patches by Jonathan Marten this version starts a new process for every konqueror window that is not opened by konqueror itself ("new window" in the menu or detaching a tab to become a window of its own) but by using the features of the desktop environment to start applications.
Distinct windows using separate processes makes konqueror compatible with activities again as each window can be suspended (freeing resources, too) and reopened independently of other konqueror windows.
