Debian package Minsky 2.D32.0-1 installs successfully. However unable to execute as library libjson_spirit.so missing. Unable to locate on system or available package. The system is Debian GNU/Linux 11 (bullseye)
2.35 is available now, and doesn't depend on libjson_spirit. It should work.
LinuxMint 21.3 (ubuntu jammy 22.04 base)
Not what I was expecting. Is there also a deb binary for 'minsky-restservice'?
If you follow the download instructions on this site for Ubuntu 22.04, you would be adding this repo to your machine, trusting it and then apt will automatically pull the dependencies for you.
If you don't want to do that, it is perfectly possible to download the relevant dependencies, and install them manually with dpkg as you are doing. It is a little more tedious, though.
Minsky Debian 12 package has a dependency issue. It reports minsky-beta-restservice as the dependency for the non-beta version.
Just saw this. Is it still the case? Its evening now, but I'll send myself a not to look into this tomorrow.
Minsky is currently not installable on Fedora distributions and Tumbleweed. I'm working on a solution.
This is fixed some time ago (sorry for not updating this sooner).
I'm doing the Ravel challenge video courses and I've installed Minsky on Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS, it runs well but just one thing, the Ravel widget does not show axes names. In the widget description it says it can't find libravel.so
Just saw this question. Not sure if I've answered you on another platform. To use the Ravel plugin, you need to take out a ravel plugin subscription on https://patreon.com/Ravelation, and then select "upgrade" to install the ravel plugin for your system. Ubuntu 24.04 is supported for that.
