Tool to read the monitor details directly from the monitor

read-edid is a pair of tools (originally by John Fremlin) for reading the EDID
from a monitor. It should work with most monitors made since 1996 (except for
newer ones with 256-byte EDID's - WiP), assuming the video card supports the
standard read commands (most do).read-edid is a set of two tools - get-edid,
which gets the raw edid information from the monitor, and parse-edid, which
turns the raw binary information into an XF86Config-compatible monitor section.

Hi,

I see you are using some packages branched from my home:mhnovell project. As I don't work for SUSE or Novell (for almost 9 years now), I created a new home:manfred-h project to finally reflect reality ;)

In the case that you are still using my packages, may I ask you to re-branch them from my new home project "home:manfred-h"? I will no longer maintain or rebuild any of the packages under "home:mhnovell" and remove all of its content by the end of 2018.

Thanks for your understanding!
